Hello everyone!
I went out detecting all day today because I didn't have to work because of the holiday. I dug my oldest dog tag to date ~ it reads, "EUGENE DOG TAX 1928 #312". Also dug a 1949 Uncle Sam play 25c, and a 1953 Uncle Sam play 10c. Here's what else I dug today:
13 wheat cents (1930 to 1957)
1947 nickel
1953 nickel
14 clad quarters
12 clad dimes
10 modern nickels
44 memorial cents
Also, I dug a cool looking old button ~ it's a little bigger than a US nickel. The image is a sideways anchor with a winged staff thingy in the middle ~ it reads, "US" and the initials "M.H.?." ~ I can't make out the last letter in the initials.
The back reads, "OAK HALL CLOTHING CO ~ BOSTON"
How old is this button? What did it come off of?!
Thanks for looking!
Neil
