Warsawdaddy,
Pardon my ignorance but what does this link do? I have opened the files but didn't see how I could use the info? Is there away to view the maps?

This constitutes the maps in the State Archives in Harrisburg, PA. They are open on saturdays and all week. You can request to see a map by referencing the codes. Someone goes to the archive and brings it to you in a secured room. There you can review and may be allowed to use a pencil to draw your own copy. I am not sure if a copy could be made, just ask. I could spend several lifetimes in there reading and searching. Before you go, have an idea of where your site may be and the time frame it was. Look on the townships listing. You will need to know when coutnies were pared off, and the townships also. This would be great for colonial sites. I have copied a patent survey of my ancestors land near Lake Meade, in Adams county. I plan to try to MD there. Of you live near Harrisburg, you should definetly visit.

Lawman, check out the York County Archives, the people there are quite helpful.

thank you very much. New detector gear coming on Saturday
