Hiya Jon, love that piece. One of my favorite personal found Hopewells was also made on a large spall that wasn't flaked to the center. In fact, have found several like that, from just a few locations though.pointdlr said:I need to participate more on this board. Here is one of my favorite hopewells. I didn't find it. Came from Clark County, Ohio(Southwest), and last sold at the Max Shipley auction in 1988. It is made on a curved flake that produces a unifacial area on the back and a great twist/curve. I thinks its just about dead 4" of great Flint Ridge material.
