Greetings from the center of the Great Black Swamp.

This post is not meant to mock anyone or hurt anyone's feelings.

That said I think I'm living a parallel life with Airborne/Charlie.
I took my pal Buckeye for a walk yesterday at the lake, Lake Erie that is.
The lake was angry that day my friend.

Buckeye was having a great time, Aha right there by his left paw , is that what I think it is?

Yes it is, the point right after a wave washed over it.

We had a great time, however I wouldn't want to take Mr. Bucky with me everytime. I could have found a dozen points if I wasn't constantly trying to keep him from rolling in dead fish and lake grass. Airborne deserves our respect if his hunting partner is as rambunctious as mine was.

These are other points that I've found on the shores of Lake Erie.

Nice points - nice little story. A man needs his dog! My German Shepherd is about 15 years old now but still trudges along with me. Gotta love them dogs.

Yep I always take my Chocolate Lab Asker with me when I walk the beaches here. She's a retrieving fool! If only I could teach her to find points instead of that old tennis ball....

Sounds like you had a good time at the beach. Ppl say you can have quality time with kids, family. I believe that about dogs also, they are adorable faithful critters. btw, I used to have a terrior that use to like to roll in dead fish. Why do the do that? (Gross).
Nice finds, you did great, Congrats & Thankyou for sharin'

Molly.

Hahahah! hey man...... you know how I feel about your dog! What a cool partner and I know that he had a great time. What a fun post and I LOVE the point that you found and the series of photos of the find itself. Thanks for that.

Charlie knows that I am looking for something and really trys hard to understand and get involved. If I poke my stick around a spot, he will start to dig there. I actually believe that some day, he may help me find something. I can tap the stick at a location and tell him to dig and he will.... pretty deep I might add.

The dead fish thing? Ohhhhhhh Man! if you knew how many times I had to get him into a bath after a hunt because of that hahaha. It drives me nuts!

Thanks for the post and the great pics!

What a beautiful dog!!! I swear..... there is something about the chocolates that I love. he is a very happy partner.... you can see it! ;D Thanks for sharing the great pic and I hope we see more. Stay safe.

reminds me of my father in laws mix breed....i think he was a crabber in another life...i would pull up our crab traps at my in laws house and Laddy would stand right next to you staring at the trap...and if one escaped before you can put it in the bucket he would grab it in his teeth and toss him a good 5" from the water which gave you plenty of time to retrieve it....miss that dog....most loyal creatures on earth....
