I'm Still washing mud from Red Chispa And still getting gold. Very fine, 50 mesh and smaller, but it gives me something to do here at the house. Running everything through screens and then the Blue Bowl. I have made plans to get up to Garlock the 28th I had to put $958. out to fix the starter and ring gear also fixed the fuel line. all is startin to get back together. I'm Serious, You call me for anything. We aren't Lone Gunmen, We are a gang of miners. It's a good gang to be in.

That was the best desert adventure I Ever had dude, and Tim was great too. I know he wasn't 100% But he was a trooper. So when is the next outing? The 22nd or March 1st.? I will have my App mailed in before then. This club is the best one for me. I think Tim agrees. I'm still washing that dirt I brought back. There is so much sediment I need to wash it maybe 3 times. The first wash is done and I found a fair amount of flour and flood gold. No pieces bigger than a speck.Hey Scott,
Just wanted to let you know I appreciate the friendship and hospitality at the Red Chispa dig. I had pain and numbness until I was stretching the other nite and felt 3 pops in my lower back. All the pain and tightness has gone! I plan to join the club and hope to see you guys again soon. I got my Whites Goldmaster3 back so I can't wait to use it again... It's been several years but now I def got the gold fever back! Hope the truck is OK after the canyon tour...

So Scott, that crystalpayne is a cute little miner. She should do well. She needs to learn to test pan. When I first started I know I dug the Panama Canal before I started test panning .
Feb is good for me.
Helping a friend next week on his new land NE of Barstow.
Moving gear to his trailer, maybe get the drywasher out if there's time.
It's a few miles N off Fort Irwin Rd.
He has to lead me, never been there yet.
But Feb is on the calendar now. Where we going?

The Golden Rabbit Coach tour update.I have the parts, the broken parts are fixed, and I'm putting it back together now.
It should run smooth and quiet when I'm done.

Flash, this is your after Saturday night update. It's now early Sunday morning I've started working on my coach. It's in front of my garage and I'm taking it apart. The crack is extensive on my driver side exhaust manifold. One of my friends said that they will help me welded back together. He's an expert at welding cast-iron. I should be able to have a put back together in just about a week. It's all that I can think about now. After a full inspection I found about half a dozen other minor things on the engine. Two things I've already take care of. Tomorrow I start pulling the manifold off the engine block. I'm also going to replace all my fan belts at the same time. I'm going to share this message with the other guys here too.

Well I'm grounded more or less right now from engine trouble with my coach.
I'm checking on prices to fix a cracked Exhaust Manifold. Unemployment makes my budget tight.
It will be after the first of the year to afford it.
I am looking to catch a ride and help with gas and food If anyone needs a hard working partner.
My Keene 140 hasn't been back to the desert in 3 years.
Engine still runs great.
Got it used 7 years ago with a 4" dredge also that has a oil free compressor w/ hose and Regulator.
I pull them both out and start um up every few months.
An old work Buddy hurt his back too bad to mine and almost gave um to me.
I have a mining company in my garage and no way to get out there.
Life can be cruel.
I have never typed this much in My life. But it's great to be sharing with such a knowledge warehouse as this board.
Yea I can't wait to get back out there.
I am sure we will do well. By my self I can, or I should say, have dug 6 to 10 buckets a day.
Once I went with my cousin Tone to the Santa Ana South Fork River off the Hwy 38 in Big Bear and we did 35 buckets in 2 days.
Cousins can be as competitive as Brothers.
Well, I'll be glad to meet ya, and even more glad to share the shovel work.
I mean digging in compacted gravel is pry bar as much as shovel.
But God forgive me I love it.
If I'm not the only motor coach there I will be the only Truck cab coach.

For right now I have been working in the Big Tujunga Wash. The gold is in and along the creek and I use my sluice. I usually get about a dollar worth in 3 or 4 hours. Better than specks.
It is not far up the road as most of the area is still closed farther up (technically the Station Fire closure but I think they plan to keep it closed). As far as I know it is OK (open land, no Claims)) where I go. There are some houses and in some areas the private property goes to the stream. But there is mostly no one out there. Do you have an Adventure pass for parking? They do enforce that.
Off Little Tujunga creek is a place called Gold Creek. About 10 miles up from Hansen Dam off the 210. The water has probably dried up there for this year. There is a picnic area and it's an easy walk. But lots of poison oak around.
I'll try to put together a map of these and some other spots and send you a link. If you'd like to head up there let me know.Scott, my name is Erik. As far as clubs go I am with the GPAA, which owns the 6' under claim, and Route66 Gold MIners. Good group and seems to be growing quite a bit.
I've been wondering about my GB too. I've used it everywhere, but have yet to find gold. I must be doing something wrong....
I'll start a new thread about the halite, sulfohalite & hanksite I found. That was pretty damn fun and can't wait to go back next year.
As far as re-locating, I love Costa Mesa. It's very centrally located to everything. It takes me 1hr to get to Lytle Creek and Blue Cut, 1.5 hours to get to the EF. We've got the beach, shopping, great restaurants, etc. Just a great place to live. As far as Redondo & Manhattan, I liked Manhattan Beach the few times I was up there, but still prefer Costa Mesa. -
