High today was only 29 so my buddy Earl and I took off south about 8 am for some freestyling. My first good hit was a screaming 12-43, 12-45 at 8 inches. I flipped the plug and after a couple more inches I saw the glimmer. A 1906 Barber dime. My first silver for 2013! Then after about two hours of nothing but clad I decided to warm my feet up in the car. About 10 feet from the car I hit a squelching 12-45 at 5 inches. I flipped the plug and there he was. A 1957-D Rosie! After warming my tootsies for 15 minutes I ventured back out and got nothing but clad for the next two hours. So I decided to head back towards the car and warm up again. As I passed the spot where I got the Rosie I decided to work the area from all angles and see what I could get. A few seconds later I get an ear piercing 12-46 at 9 inches. I just knew I had hit a silver quarter but at 10 inches I saw the big rusty nail. Then about two minutes later I get a solid 12-45 at 6 inches. A 1960-D Rosie! At this point I was frozen and sore and my elbow was burning so I decided to call it a day. Also got 20 clad coins for a total of $1.83. Please see the pics. Happy hunting to all in 2013. Make it your best year ever!
