Re: 1877 Indian head ready to be sent in

nice close ups. Do you have any before pictures? Was it just water that it soaked in?

Re: 1877 Indian head ready to be sent in

I will trade my new 1867 for your 1877 ;D

Seriously, you have a nice coin there! Please post again when you get it back :headbang:

hate to be fussy but wahat is that little black fleck

near the tip of the first feather on the indian head dress ?

was that cleanable.?

just want u to get the best grade u can.

great find

I don't even know what to say or think.. So called pros !!! HA!!!! NEVER USE NCS FOR ANYTHING!!!

What the heck did they use on it :o electrolysis? :'( I Feel for you Bro!!

Did you ask for the coin to be conserved? If sent into NCS for authentication and a detail grade they would not have "cleaned" the coin.

I requested conservation, which anyone know is neutralizing the verdigris on coins of this type, NOT REMOVING TO BARE METAL!!! Then after they destroyed it they sent it to NGC even knowing they would bodybag it!!! THEY SAID THEY WOULD REFUND THE CONSERVATION FEE!! LOST PRETTY MUCH MOST OF IT"S VALUE!!! THEY LIE ABOUT THEIR WARRANTIES !!!

Hey Ray, sorry about that bad experience.

Is that ground scar to the right of the "E" in "ONE" still visible on the "after" pic?

Also the "C" in "CENT" looks more pitted than it should have been after the "preservation" was done.

Or am I getting the before/after pics confused?

Here's to your next one, may it come out of the ground bright red and clean!
