GOLD AND TREASURE
Prospect for gold and hunt for lost or buried treasure
JUNE 15 at Mantorville Park
*12 miles west of Rochester*
From 10AM to 5PM
A short distance from the Wasioja Civil War Days Celebration
*4 miles west*
The Minnesota Gold Prospectors Kasson Club along with the Zumbro Valley Treasure Hunters Rochester Club will hold a day of fun and learning.
Pan for Gold along the river and hunt for treasure with a metal detector in the “Pirate Plunder Patch”.
All ages welcome, bring your personal detector, digging tools and gold pans if you have any or use ours.
There will be a speed panning contest with prizes for top two finishers in each category. If 5 or more sign up for an “open category” with a $5 entry fee and a cash payback for top two finishers we will hold that event.
FOOD, FUN, and INFORMATION about how to use metal detectors, dig targets, collect rocks and find gold. We invite all 4-H, Boy and Girl Scouts, and all other youth groups to participate.
Panning and Detecting equipment may be available for sale, trade or swap from some of the attendees.
No flea market or garage sale items please.
