Terry, this is so much better than the other shows, thanks!!

Real? They are brainy people but don't know how to pan, have a huge building to "work" in, and have to make a metal detector & scale. Why? Put all six of them on shovels and DIG. No need for games, rules [ can't use a real scale ], producers script.
Pretty much a scripted game show look to it.
Yes, I watched the whole video. I would have chosen the spot they flew over where bedrock was exposed and put the "slu-is" in the river!

Nice accommodations to get out of the rain too. Not much "real" there.

MadJack: What is "real" can be relative to ones accustomed environment.

Folks like us are used to being out in the elements, because that's what we do
to find the gold. These folks are "suits", and are used to cozy environs and
fancy meals followed by brandy, so no doubt they'll survive but it'll be an eye-opener
for them.

As for the film, I watched a few min. of it and it looks like a fun show to watch, but
unfortunately the rest of it will have to wait a later time.

Mike, you are correct, they are 'privileged' folks.

My apologies.
I am a long time prospector/miner. I know what I had to deal with in Greenland last year, as well as Maine-Quebec-Alaska in the past, to find values in the ground.
This show still has a 'game-show' feel to it.
