Silver ore?

A buddy of mine found this rock while we were prospecting a creek in indiana.It about the size a my fist.It looks like black granite with silver spots in it . could it be silver? how can I test it.Thanks for any help.

A black,heavy rock with silver looking spots (possible nickel) might
be a metorite!!!! Check out the metorite forum.
