I read a short article on another site about free panning areas that I just have to ask about.
This gentleman claimed that you could pan on the Cosumnes river where Hwy 16 crosses it. Right at Rancho Murieta. I see there is a pull over and access to the river is very easy. Does not look like it would be private property.
Does this sound right? Kind of like areas under bridges, etc. Are those okay to pan in?
I've seen videos of people in downtown Sacramento, etc panning and sluicing. Is this municipal or county property and okay to pan in?
I'll be in that area this weekend and just wonder if it would be okay to spend an hour or so there to gather some concentrate.
