Whilst talking to my best pal Bob he mentioned coin roll hunting. Not being familiar with this hobby I didn't want to appear ignorant about this so kind of made up my version of this.

It goes as such

Bob "do you do coin roll hunting"

Me "sure do only the other day I found a coin that had rolled down the hill and ended up at the bottom"

Bob "ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha "

you get the picture so could some one please enlighten me about the real hobby so I can see Bob again and pretend I was joking.

Pretty simple actually. Go to the bank, get some rolls of coins and open them to see if any collectables got mixed in with them. On new rolls, sometimes misstamps worth $$$ can be found.

I personally dont roll hunt...I hate rerolling coins.

Congrats on the new MD !

FYI, if you have a casino near you they may take your loose change & convert it to cash for free. Ours does. We take the coin jars over & they dump it in the coin counter & give us greenbacks. I'm sure they're hoping we will go straight to a slot machine with the cash ;>) We don't.

When you open this website, scroll down the page a bit and you'll find a whole section dedicated to coinroll hunting. I started last winter when the ground was frozen and I couldn't metal detect. Have continued hunting since then and really have enjoyed it.
