finding gold around british columbia

Has anyone here or that you know of found any gold in or around British Columbia mainly say towards Pitt Lake, stave glacier and near the Fraser and Stave Rivers?? I hear of a lot of people finding gold in these areas but i do not see much facts or if it's true I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any relic hunters who have found anything out that way and what the odd's would be of finding any gold in that area with detectors..
