DANBURY, Conn. -- Danbury officials have been notified they are being sued by a student who was awakened in class by a teacher who made a loud noise.

Documents filed with the Town Clerk, a prelude to a lawsuit, claim that a sleeping student suffered hearing damage when his teacher woke him up by slamming her hand down on the boy's desk in December.

Attorney Alan Barry said Vinicios Robacher, 15, suffered pain and "very severe injuries to his left eardrum" when teacher Melissa Nadeau abruptly slammed the palm of her hand on his desk on Dec. 4.

A city official said the matter has been referred to Danbury's insurance carrier.

Works for Me :D What would have been his Punishment
for Slamming his Hand on the Desk to get Her Attention ?

I know when I was in school & Sleeping,
I always thought it was Very Rude to wake be.

Except to go home.

back when I was in school, a ruler across the knuckles didn't get me a dime, just a spanking when I got home.

If that was to happen today it would be a law suit against the teacher than the parent for the spanking.... :tard:

Somehow I completely believe you. :-*

it started in First Grade.

We didn't have Kindergarten Back then.

Last year an Old School Chum told me he remembers the Teacher Picking me up
at my desk Walking to the side of the room and Laying me on the floor.

I don't Remember 1st Grade, I Think I slept through it.

I never Failed a grade though. It's just the Teachers couldn't Keep me
intrested enough to stay awake.
