I've been buying some coins here and there from a dealer, more or less because I like the look of the coin. I've also inherited quite a few odds and ends. Mint sets, barbers (dimes and quarters), pennies, nickels, halves and some error coins. I've been saving rolls of the state quarters since they came out. For a while, I was buying type sets at the dealers, dimes/quarters/halves/nickels etc. I'm trying to figure out what move to make next, thinking about longevity of a collection and passing something of value down the line. .
Is it appropriate to take b.u. coins and put them in a type set book or should I keep them in their holders? None of the coins I own are PCGS or ANC or anything like that.
I am seriously at a loss of how to approach this. Any help/advice or even just pointers is greatly appreciated.
