Past few hunts, French coin, spur strap? Electrolysis smithing hammer!!

I found a few keepers in the past few hunts. I was able to look up the Gentleman in the local directories. He was a merchant police. I assume that he was a protecting a mine in the Cripple Creek mining district. Anyone know if the other piece is spur related. I've found similar straps up here with no rowel. Happy Hunting, the little clasp is getting close to roman:) The 10 pound smithing hammer turned out better than I thought. Electrolysis sure is fun!!

Yes you found a French coin, but what is strange is that in all my memories, the face is turn on the left profile, so it has to be a very old coin. After checking your other pictures i can read 1907, unfortunately, i haven't know this money. You could try to clean it. and it might have some value but I'm not sure about. when typing on Google, i see it could go up to 50$, nice find, congratulations.
