I thought this could be interesting- Who likes to wear one or more of their Colonial finds? Be it actual jewelry or holed Colonial coinage or maybe making a belt from a nice Colonial era buckle?
I have in my display a few buckles I could make a belt from, and pendant type medallions I could wear if I got a suitable chain. Other than a crucifix I sometimes wear, I’m not much of a jewelry person, but it would be cool to wear something centuries old- makes an interesting convo- piece I suppose. I have the holed counterfeit 1817 8- Reales, but it is a bit clunky.
Being a skinny Mallink , ive long attached a flat button with intact shank to my loose jeans using a small zip tie, thereby reusing 200+ year old buttons, and it works quite well actually.
I have a few small oval medals with an engraved running horse on it which I wouldn’t mind getting a chain for and occasionally wear it. As I found 3-4 similar ones in a small area my theory is that they were being made by native Americans who would sell them to the local settlers ( after the hostilities of the American Revolution ended)
So be interesting to hear about what others may be wearing or could be wearing on their person
I’ll post pics of the items I described in another post.

Cheers- relicmeister
