First time I"ve posted here, hopefully won't be the last.Found this stone yestereday on the VA. side of the Potomac,it's along the Highland Indian Trail that supposedly ran from the mid-atlantic to Florida. The place I found it was definetley in the vacinity of an old trading post for the Iroquois and Sesquehannan tribe's in 1728.Really just now getting into the Indian artifact's after looking at some of the post and seeing some of the old point's and such....What do you think, could it be???....Thank's for looking and HH!!

Hey,

Could definitely be a nut stone, but I find the majority of them to have a little smoother hole in the...showing signs of wear/use. That appears a little rough......still I have found similar objects and I called the nut stones so your call.....might also be a palm stone as was earlier stated. Looks like you are on to a good site. Enjoy and post photos of what you find, I would be interested in seeing it.

Regards

Atlantis
