We've had some in New Brunswick too. There are still black quartz and black sand beaches. I've detected the beaches. Nothing I could find now, not even a gold ring!
Seeing Pottsville reminded me that I was baptized by a Lutheran minister from there back in 1943. His name was Emil Weber and he had a pastorate in Pottsville. We knew him because he went to divinity school near my parent's home in New York and stayed with them while going to school.
